MeetingLuxury confirms itself the leading luxury travel event

The only qualified marketplace in the heart of Europe where supply and demand in the luxury travel industry meet to give birth to more and more new business opportunities.

The 2010 edition of MeetingLuxury – International Luxury Travel Exhibition, the trade event dedicated to the world of luxury tourism, ended a few days ago in Lugano with great satisfaction of all participants.

In just two editions, MeetingLuxury has managed to bring together over 220 exhibitors belonging only to the luxury tourism segment with more than 500 luxury buyers from around the world and over 800 international trade visitors, managing to generate about 30,000 meetings with a total representation of 60 different countries and over 150 international press professionals accredited.

Significant the renewal of the 2010 buyers quota compared to the 2009 one, which reached even 70%, and the geographical origin of the same, particularly varous: the official data refer in fact to buyers coming for the 20, 33% from the always receptive Asia (India and Japan among the countries most representatives) and for the 22, 67% from the entire area of Central Europe, with Switzerland, Germany, France and the United Kingdom in the head.

Anyway, significant percentages of origin have also been registered also from the important Middle East market (11%) in which the United Arab Emirates have been the best represented and from the strategic basin of Mediterranean Europe (10.33% with Spain, Italy and Greece among the most representative percentages) and profitable markets of North America, Russia and Northern Europe (represented respectively in MeetingLuxury by 9.67%, 8, 33% and 9.33% of total accredited buyers).

Satisfaction has also been expressed by representatives of the Swiss Deluxe Hotels Group chain, which represents the excellence of Swiss hospitality and has chosen MeetingLuxury as an official partner during which promoting the offer of hotels such as Tschuggen Hotel Group, Grand Dodler of Zurich, Geneva Mandarin Oriental and Grand Resort Bad Ragaz.
